Saturday, July 26, 2014 – Saturday, August 2, 2014

Good morning. I’m calling you from my cell phone. There will be a very clear recording without phones that will be posted on my website later. If you have problems hearing this you can pick it up later at lunar-Shadows.com. I’m having phone problems you might think it was a Mercury Retrograde. It is not, Mars changed signs, so sometimes very often Mars is pretty disruptive.
But we have this really cool thing happening today, there is a New Moon conjunct Jupiter. This is uplifting; it allows us to have a future view hope and enthusiasm for new things to come. And the older things tend to fall behind us and that actually is indicated by something else. This New Moon will be the marker New Moon that welcomes in the eclipse season that we have coming up in the fall. So it is three months before an event like a solar eclipse when the stories change. So all the things we have been talking about, ruminating over ,and the world has been reporting there is a shift that takes place today, which hopefully will be good news. There is definitely a little bit of a cease fire on the Gaza Strip and I hope that the events in Libya calm down a bit. But here we have this New Moon at almost 4 degrees of Leo and it does have some problems. It has some money problems it is tied up with old estates or old financial arrangements by the design of Venus opposite Pluto. This also can bring about jealousies and a want for more and Pluto is like the gate keeper. So there is a lot of demanding energy that the Venus opposite Pluto brings.
Mars is sitting right at 0 degrees of Scorpio, so Mars changed signs last night at 10:25 PM and went into Scorpio that leaves the sign of Libra free from the annoyance and aggravation of Mars. Mars while it was there really had been aggravated and causing more war than it was peace and it stirred things up, not in a good way. So with Mars now out of Libra and Jupiter has been out of the sign of Cancer that Grand Cardinal Cross is gone. We still have the lingering square between Pluto. That square that we have between Uranus and Pluto is by it self, it still with us until March but it is not quite as intense as it has been over the past few months.
So having a look at what is going on after the New Moon, the Moon is square to Mars at 11:29 AM this morning that can be combative and difficult. And then the Moon goes on to join Jupiter in the sign of Leo at 3:34 PM that is where the optimism comes in and let bygones be bygones and that sort of thing. And then the New Moon is at 6:42 PM . So the New Moon brings about that challenge to let things go. It allows us to shift our attention to the future with a sense of optimism and broad spirit and also it opens the heart with Jupiter right there. So it has that sense that there is a more loving world to be embraced, the generosity of both Leo and Jupiter adds to this grand open heart picture of the New Moon. And you may have a new notion you want to study something new or something that speaks to you about art or the art of giving. It may lead to paths that are primarily focused on helping others and the planet.
Saturn still sits in Scorpio and at 150 degrees to Uranus and that is that out of order and surprise element that it brings. But Mars now being in its sign of Scorpio allows it to function in a way that is more matched to its nature, So it is deliberate and contemplating, it can be ruthless in that sign.
And for Sunday that Leo Moon once it gets past that square to Saturn and that is at 8:37 PM and then things lighten up so that means that Sunday night is particularly happier. And also with this Jupiter conjunct the New Moon, good time to test your luck as well. If you want to try and catch a wave of good luck that would be today and also tomorrow as well.
The Dark Phase of the Moon that we are in, because we are in a New Moon, ends on Monday morning around 4:00 AM. That is after the Venus opposite Pluto aspect that takes place at 2:39 AM. The Venus opposite Pluto has the quality of standing toe to toe opposite to one another; it is also about power struggles and relationship especially those involving money and shared possessions. And Pluto tends to hold the purse strings and relationships often divide over money matters. So be careful how you handle your discussion about money matters. And you need to practice a lot of patience and try to let go of jealousies and obsession with Venus opposite Pluto. Later on there will be a Void of Course Moon while the Moon is in Leo that is at 10:25 AM Monday . And then the Moon is free floating Void of Course until the Moon changes signs at 11:37 PM and the Moon will go into Virgo that is the larger chunk of Monday we have that Void of Course Moon. And the Virgo Moon is good because it is a Green Light period and that Green Light period will begin at 11:36 PM Monday night and go right until Thursday morning at 10:47 AM.
For Tuesday there really are no major aspects between the planets, it is a good day to get things done. The Virgo Moon is about trying to pull together work together with others, get as much done as possible, clean up, and also organize and plan for the future.
For Wednesday there is an aspect at 12:44 AM between the Sun and Neptune, during this Virgo Moon. The Sun and Neptune can bring about wild weather, whiteouts and sandstorms and fog storms. There is a big sandstorm in Arizona in the Phoenix area, usually hear about those in the Sahara Desert, so we have got our own going on here. That aspect also causes a lot of water and water damage and damage by wild winds and that sort of thing, so that is probably Tuesday night Wednesday morning.
Then Wednesday we have Vesta the asteroid that represents investment and commitment it is going into a money sign Scorpio, so this allows you to talk about your retirement with the human resources department or make your plans for your financial future, with Vesta in Scorpio for the next couple of months.
Then Thursday we still have a Green Light period that continues right until 10:47 AM. And the Moon will then make a 60 degree aspect to Mercury letting go of the types of activities that Mercury conducts, which is about thinking and writing documents and translating things to one another. Mercury will be at the 29th degree of Cancer, so until Mercury changes signs, it can act like a Void of Course Moon. You could have car troubles with that, you could have lost documents so be careful that you have your license on you or your passport or whatever you need. So that Void of Course Moon does start at 10:47 AM on Thursday, it continues until 12:09 PM and then the Moon changes signs and enters Libra. And we need to hold back until Mercury does change signs at 6:45 PM before moving forward with any commitments and agreements with others. After that there is a Green Light period, so you
want to consider signing then - that Virgo Moon is also very good for signing. And all that Green Light period is in the Virgo Moon all day Tuesday Wednesday and up until 10:47 AM Thursday. So then the next good time for signing is after 6:45 PM Thursday night, with the Libra Moon. And that will end well after 3:02 PM on Saturday, and that is when a Void of Course Moon begins, when the Moon is parallel Neptune. You can sign and move forward with your business goals or your personal goals that are important.
Friday there is a bunch of things going on. Venus starts off not very happy square to Uranus. There is sudden abrupt change that happens between Venus and Uranus, so that can upset friendships and love relationships. There can be an erratic change of heart, sudden breakups. It could be between people or companies, it could be about money and possessions, it is an unstable quality to the relationships. So just back off and be cool, unless you want to split apart then that is a good time. Social surprises can also occur if you have social engagements. Too many extreme feelings with that aspect to give it a whole lot of logic so just allow some space and allow for the dust to settle before making any judgments about the time. And that is on August 1st 12:42 AM, so that would be Thursday night Friday morning when that happens.
Then the next thing that happens is Venus is trine to Saturn. This one ties things down in a way that creates harmony and economic balance, so it is the opposite. So that is because there is this quincunx, a 150 degree angle, between Saturn and Uranus, bringing a lack of stability in most things. First there is an upset, next the transits says wait a little bit and then it will calm down. There can be progress with business and agreements and that aspect is exact at 6:21 AM, and that would also be on August 1st. We have on August 1st also Mars square Jupiter. Often this one steps up the war, the military, more boots on the ground and aggression in general. Often battles are fought over religion and difference of philosophies, lots of prejudice and an aggressive spirit around with that Mars square Jupiter. On a positive note, you may get a lot done or you may finish off a project or finish off a job and that could be a positive thing to move onto the next thing.
Then on August 2nd next Saturday we have that Void of Course Moon at 3:03 PM for that Libra Moon. That is it for the week.

This is the first New Moon of our next eclipse season. The New Moon has a lucky charm of an alignment with Jupiter. This allows us to shift our attention to the future with a sense of optimism and a broad spirit. The up and coming Solar Eclipse at zero Scorpio this fall has its intensity all its own. At the time of the New Moon Mars sits at that Scorpio threshold to make its point. The challenge may be that of letting go of the out worn and to set goals to transform our direction for a more positive future. Many old roads need to be re- paved and but the new roads have a purpose to leave the past behind.
